£12,300 for Taxi Driver and passenger involved in Liverpool road accident
OneCallSortsAll has successfully helped taxi driver Mr Y after he was the victim of a road accident on Park Road in South Liverpool. The car accident occurred when Mr Y was stopped at the side of the road in his taxi waiting for a customer, when another motorist drove into the back of the taxi.
In the car accident Mr Y suffered soft tissue injuries to his lower back, his neck and shoulders and also to both elbows. As a result of the accident and the physical demands of lifting luggage in and out of his taxi for his customers, Mr Y was unable to return to work for several months until his injuries were completely healed. The case put together by Camps Solicitors also included a compensation claim for Mr Y's lost earnings whilst he was unable to work.
Mr Y's vehicle was inspected by a qualified engineer, and was repaired in a specialist garage. Whilst repairs were underway, a replacement hire taxi was provided for Mr Y, so he would be able to resume his job if his injuries allowed. The £8,500 cost of repairing Mr Y's taxi was included in the claim for compensation.
Mr Y's case was handled by Camps solicitor Ged Jones who has many years experience dealing with the victims of non-fault road accidents. Mr Y's case was successful and he received over £12,000 car accident compensation for his injuries, the repairs to his vehicle and the lost earnings during the two months he was unable to work.
